Godai Fabric

“East and West … united by a Washi paper thread “

With the Wab-Sabi textile collection of Godai Group, Elisabetta Tiziana Villa wanted to reinterpret the intrinsic health properties of the Washi yarn, supporting the latest generation of technological research and the aesthetic refinement of the made in Italy style.
The result is the creation of a sophisticated fabric, beneficial and luxurious, made of unusual and exclusive textures, result of the interlacing of experiences between two ancient cultures such as Japan and Italy.
In addition, the collection aims to contribute to the dissemination of the environmental concept of “wellbeing”, through the application of the fabric to design objects and contemporary artistic works with the participation of international designers who have created unique works inspired by the Oriental philosophy of the Big 5 elements “Go Dai”: Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Spirit.

The Wabi-Sabi collection was presented at The Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo, and in the
beautiful exhibition rooms of Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan
